Every once in a while I stumble across a dreamy item that is designed by a new Israeli designer, or a brand that I didn't know about until that moments. Leading to an immediate crush which sometimes even develops into intense love.
The only problem is that when love strikes all of my anxieties begin to emerge, that I will probably experience a heartbreak because the same brand will not succeed in surviving the Israeli reality, after all it's not easy to be designer in Israel. The cost of production is very high, the diversity of fabrics is very poor, the lack of loyalty of customers, among many other difficulties makes it almost impossible to exist.
The same mad anxiety struck me, for example, a few years ago when I came upon the local brand SAMPLE, of the sisters Einav Zini & Nofar Machlof. The modern cool vibe that characterizes their clothes made my heart miss a beat, and I knew that if there was one brand that can offer us the same level as prestigious fashion houses abroad such as Gucci Or Miu Miu, its this brand, so there is no way Israel could lose it :).
Happily, SAMPLE is still alive and kicking, thanks to the way the sisters succeed season after season to design a fresh, modern and feminine collection, without losing the manuscript that is identified with them, and the reason why all of their customers (myself included) are captive customers.
This Season the collection offers super-feminine items that combine elements borrowed from the masculine wardrobe, such as – a soft dress with embroidered cushions, a thick lorex sweat suit, a male shirt with feminine details, and other items that create a precise collection that plays on the subtle difference between masculine and feminine.
I put an eye on five items-
1. A blue sweat suit from lorex, 1800 ILS.
2. A plaid dress with beautiful details, 1400 ILS.
3. A gold cardigan carrying the brand logo on its back, 1600 ILS.
4. High-waisted pants with belt, 1400 ILS.
5. A Plaid Trench Coat that can also be use as a dress, 1600 ILS.
